Pride

For the fifth consecutive year, Pembina Trails participated in the Winnipeg Pride Festival. The annual event kicked off at the Manitoba Legislature and was an opportunity to celebrate diversity and inclusion.
“Pembina Trails had a great show of support from teachers, students, families and even pets at the Winnipeg Pride Parade this weekend in support of our LGBTQS+ community. There was love and support for everyone,” shared Rebecca Boock, École Viscount Alexander, guidance counselor.
Students and staff from schools across the division dressed in vibrant colours and waved rainbow flags. Pembina Trails participation has grown over the years, from ten people to more than 70 walking with pride behind the division’s banner.
