Damon Klassen – Vice-Principal at École Van Walleghem School, effective September 8, 2026

Congratulations to Damon Klassen on his appointment to permanent Vice Principal at École Van Walleghem School effective September 8, 2026.

Damon is an experienced educator with a strong background in early and middle years teaching, multiage education, and resource support. Since beginning his term as Vice Principal on September 2, 2025, he has demonstrated effective leadership in student services, inclusive programming, collaborative problem solving, and schoolwide planning.

Throughout his tenure, he has supported student services and resource programming, coordinated student centered interventions, facilitated collaborative team processes, strengthened structures for inclusive education, and contributed to initiatives that foster belonging and student success.

Damon holds a Master of Education in Educational Administration, a Bachelor of Education/Arts, a Level 1 Administrator/Principal Certificate, and certifications from the Pembina Trails Leadership Development and Cognitive Coaching programs.
