Psychology

School psychologists work with students, school teams, parents and/or guardians and other clinical disciplines to provide a wide range of psychological services within the school community.

School psychologists ensure their services meet the particular needs of each student and each situation. Their goal is to assist with learning, social-emotional development and mental health. School psychologists work to support students from 5 to 21 years of age and address a variety of issues, including:

  • child and adolescent development 
  • cognitive processes 
  • mental health 
  • school and community systems 
  • learning processes 
  • behaviour disorders
