David and his wife Katherine have lived in Fort Garry for nearly 20 years. He has two sons: one is a Pembina Trails graduate, and the other currently attends a Pembina Trails high school. Being part of the community for nearly two decades, David feels passionately about representing the thoughts, views and aspirations of his community at the Board table.
David was elected to the Pembina Trails School Board in 2002 and re-elected in 2006, 2010 and 2014. Over the years he has served as Chair of the Board, as Vice–Chair and has been a member of all of the Board’s standing committees, as well as numerous ad hoc committees.
David has held senior positions in both the public and private sectors.
David works hard to ensure that the division continues to provide quality programming in a safe and caring environment. He makes it a top priority to make certain that all schools in Pembina Trails are welcoming and that our students have a healthy space to learn and play. He is proud of the board's responsible fiscal management that provides both teachers and students the resources they need to succeed.
