Thanks Staples

Students at Westgrove School have been learning all about kindness. They recently welcomed a few special visitors who gave a solid example of what it is like to not only be kind, but generous.

Staples staff surprised the school with a special delivery in October. The Pembina location General Manager Marie-Lyne Dube arrived at Westgrove with a few staff and two cars packed full of backpacks and school supplies.

"I am so proud to give to the community. This is why we do what we do; to be able to help kids is very rewarding," shared Dube, as a smile stretched across her face.

The staples staff raised funds through a bake sale and customer donations in an effort to give back to the local community. This fall more than 200 bags were generously gifted to Pembina Trails' schools.

Westgrove students cheered as the staff made the personal delivery during a school assembly in the library. The genuine and heartfelt reaction moved Staples staff and was the best thank you they could have received.

"I got a few hugs and high fives. I just want them to be able to take them home, help them learn and give them a little a bit of love, do what we can to support them," said Dube.

We would like to thank Staples Canada for the supplies. We know our students will put them to great use this school year.
