FRC Badminton team takes gold three years in a row

Three seems to be a lucky number for the Fort Richmond Collegiate Badminton team.

The Pembina Trails athletes earned gold for the third consecutive year in a row at the MHSAA Provincial Badminton Tournament. Singles competitor, Tiffany Tantakoun, also captured her third AAAA high school championship title.

"Tiffany Tantakoun has shown tremendous leadership and athleticism throughout her three years as a member of the FRC Badminton team," shared coach Raman Sharma. "Tiffany shows commitment and leadership to the team and her teammates. She is not only a phenomenal player but also a role model and teacher for the others. She consistently shares her knowledge and expertise at every practice and is eager to help her teammates improve. As her coach, I've witnessed her improve throughout the years and bring in the skills she's learned through club play to the school. This has helped our athletes and been a key component to the growth of the Fort Richmond Collegiate Badminton program."

Tiffany and fellow FRC teammates increased training this year; dedication that has certainly paid off on the court.
