Ryerson School renaming response

As we continue our path of reconciliation, Pembina Trails Board of Trustees is committed to open dialogue, listening and learning.

We know that school names play an important role in the communities they serve. We would like to thank our neighbours, parents and even students who raised their voices to share concerns regarding the current name of Ryerson School.

You have been heard and we will continue to listen. A motion to review a name change for the school was passed by our board on Thursday, June 10, 2021. Learn more about our process and the importance of community engagement and consultation when naming our facilities.
