History was recently made in Pembina Trails when Oak Park basketball standout Adrian Pellegrin Ortega became the first student in the history of our International Student Program (ISP) to be named to a provincial all-star team.

Ortega is from Madrid and was recruited in Spain to play basketball for Oak Park.

Ortega led Oak Park to the semi-finals in the AAAA Junior Varsity Boys Provincial Championships and was named the Player of the game, even though his team lost.

At the conclusion of the provincials Ortega was honoured as one of the top six junior varsity basketball players in the province.
