USC Speak Your Mind Ice Bucket Challenge Accepted!
What is the USC Speak your Mind Ice Bucket Challenge?
The USC speak your mind challenge is a student led initiative originating from the University of Southern Carolina by the Mental Illness Needs Discussion (MIND) club. It was created to both raise awareness around mental health and suicide prevention and to raise money for mental health education resources. The challenge uses the same concept as the 2014 ALS ice bucket challenge, in which you can be nominated to dump ice water on our head as a way to spread awareness for the challenge’s mission and gain donations.
Assistant Superintendent, Troy Scott, Principal of General Byng School, Tracey Groening and Vice-Principal of Henry G. Izatt Middle School, Margo Beatty have officially accepted their nominations 💦 They are now nominating Secretary Treasurer, Scott Carleton, Principal of Westdale School, Heather Anderson and Principal of Henry G. Izatt Middle School, Kathy Bru!
Up to $500 was donated to support the Kids Help Phone foundation.
