We are thrilled to be announcing the first members of the team at Pembina Trails Collegiate. As a cohesive and collaborative team, we will support every child on their individualized and innovative pathway at Pembina Trails Collegiate.

Jacqui Kroeker, Principal

I am so humbled to be travelling this journey with you. I am passionate about making every member of our community feel like they belong at PTC and achieve their own level of mastery. I strive to model my values of kindness, humility, and courage on a daily basis. I love my family dearly and that includes my two furry members and family afar.

Being the Principal of PTEC for almost 5 years, I will bring everything I have learned about leading with technology, balance, and commitment to excellence to my position as VP at PTC. Hi everyone! My name is Subheen Suboor, and I am a member of the PTC office team! I am so excited to be working at the newest school in our division, overseeing all inquiries that either you or your child may have for us! I have been with the division for 13 years and after working as a school office administrator for the past 10 years I am confident in the transition for all students to PTC in the upcoming school year. As a mother of three children and a member of the Waverley West community, I am very excited to see some familiar faces and to get to know new people within our school community! Remember, here at the PTC we help your children create innovative pathways!

Hello, it’s me Mrs. Sandra Ross-Hitch. I have been with the division for three years as secretary, and office administrator. I am delighted, thrilled, grateful, and humbled to work at the newest school in the division. I love being a team player and will support our team, parents, and community in any way possible. I shall bring my welcoming and positive energy to the office. Walking is one of my passions and the 15-minute walk to the school from my house I will find refreshing.

I have been teaching Physical Education for the past 15 years in Pembina Trails School Division. I am very excited to be a part of a great team that will build an amazing Physical Education and Extra-Curricular Sports Program. I am very passionate about health, wellness and mindfulness and look forward to sharing my experience with you!

I have taught band in the division for many years, and I have a degree in performance, education, and a Master’s in conducting. I have three boys who keep me laughing, and I grew up in South Winnipeg. I have two cats, one pup, and I love yoga and camping! I hope to bring great music to our students and school community!

Greetings! I'm Erica, and I am excited to be creating music with the students at PTC! I am a singer, performer, and an active part of the Winnipeg choral scene. With my vocal degree, I have been performing everything from opera to vocal jazz for many years. I have my second degree in Education and have taught private voice lessons and conducted choirs around the province.

Bonjour à tous, I am Hannah Barré, I am super excited to join the PTC team this fall, teaching French! I am a new graduate from the U of M, and I am coming from Lord Selkirk School division. My happy place is anytime I have an iced coffee in hand, with my St. Berdoodle Stanley at my side. In my spare time I can be found painting, drawing and even using my Cricut. Can’t wait to meet all of you!

Hello! My name is Tania Hanslip, and I am currently in my 8th year of teaching. I have worked in the education field for 15 years in total, starting off as an EA. I have taught every grade between kindergarten to grade 6, including teaching overseas in Egypt for a year. After teaching in early years for 8 years, I decided that it was time to advance my career and move to high school. I am a Métis woman and I love being involved in my culture. I enjoy beading, crocheting, and spending time with my fiancée and dogs in my spare time.

I have taught at Westgrove and South Pointe and have been so lucky to get to work with students in all grade levels as an ISS teacher. Over my nine years of experience, this passion has allowed me to teach the whole gamut of courses, with a large focus on mathematics and the sciences. Hi! My name is Tyeba Cox, (pronounced Tayba). I am honored and excited to join the PTC team! My passion is math and the way that math is found everywhere in the world. Using it forces the brain to think in dynamic ways. I’ve been teaching high-school to college-level math for over 20 years. I have a masters in math and continue to learn more every day. I look forward to guiding our PTC students in their high school journey.

I am very excited to be joining such a dynamic staff and school community. I have over 20 years of teaching experience, including 3 years in South Korea. I have a major in Biology and a master’s degree in English as an Additional Language. I believe in fostering learning environments where students feel safe to share their own experiences and questions. It is through this dialogue that learning comes to life. I can’t wait to start these discussions and together explore the world around us.

I'm James Warren, coming from industry and still an active entrepreneur in the tech space I will be heading up the Networking and Cyber TVE programming. I'm excited to bring real-world experience into the classroom to help empower students by building in-demand, employable skills.

Hi everyone! My name is Babak Yousefi, a member of the PTC EA staff. I am basically Kurdish from Kurdistan and am so excited, as a newcomer, to be working at a newly constructed high-tech school with all these nice staff. This year, 2024, is my second year of being in Canada and I am really enjoying my work while completing my Master of Education at the University of Manitoba. It has been almost 9 months working as an EA for me, first at FRC and now at PTC, during which I have had my greatest times.

I am sure your children will greatly enjoy studying in a friendly space like this and can fulfill their dreams much easier.
