Jasmine Brar is a dedicated community leader, parent, and advocate who has proudly called Waverley West home for the past two decades, where she lives with her husband, two children, and family dog, Teddy. Having immigrated from India to Canada at the age of 16 and graduated from Pembina Trails schools, she is passionate about public education, community engagement, and building strong, inclusive communities.
A tireless advocate, Jasmine is committed to supporting individuals and families at every stage of life, with a focus on education, health and mental health, community safety, and seniors' well-being. She is also deeply committed to reconciliation and fostering communities where everyone feels valued, safe, and has the opportunity to succeed.
Jasmine serves as Business Manager, Strategic Projects and Accreditation Unit with the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Manitoba. She also serves on the University of Manitoba Board of Governors and as Senator representing the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences.
She is the founder and president of the Prairie Pointe Neighbourhood Association, where she champions community engagement and initiatives that strengthen neighbourhood connections and improve quality of life for residents.
As a school trustee, Jasmine is committed to ensuring every voice is heard and represented while advocating for student success, well-being, and safe, inclusive learning environments for all learners.
