Helping the Humanitarian Efforts in the Ukraine

Ms Hladun, LM’s grade 5/6 teacher, has spent many hours over the last three weeks collecting items and monetary donations to support humanitarian efforts in the Ukraine.  Ms Hladun has many family members and friends who live in the Ukraine and spent last year teaching school there.   On Friday, March 11, she met with Mayor Bowman who commended her on her efforts and offered assistance in any future fundraising.  Thanks to the generosity of colleagues and the Winnipeg community, Ms Hladun raised over $10 000 worth of monetary donations and items which will be sent to the Ukraine.
