Grand Opening of Laidlaw’s Virtual Art Gallery

"We hope you enjoy our art pieces, creativity, and see the joy we had making art these past few months!" - Middle Years Lions

The grade 5/6 and 7 art students in Mrs. Tomczyk’s class enthusiastically contributed to an online display of learning this Spring. This was a fabulous way for students to curate the artworks that would be displayed, contribute to website design, as well as to learn about art themes, audience, and the messages we share through our art.

Throughout this current pandemic school year, we have learned about how much connection matters. Art connects us – it is a universal language that we can speak and experience regardless of our situation. Students wanted to create an online space where families and friends could find that special connection.

When creating Laidlaw’s Virtual Gallery, students worked collaboratively to advertise the launch date, write welcoming messages & the Treaty Acknowledgement, as well as to share a sneak peak into their art making process!

Students invite you to visit the gallery, as it remains open throughout the remainder of the year. The beautiful display of work can be found at: www.laidlawschoolart.weebly.co...
