Socktober Success at École South Pointe School
École South Pointe School participated in this year’s Socktober campaign after learning about the initiative on a local radio station. This event supports the Main Street Project, which helps keep people’s feet warm during the winter months.
To encourage participation, the Kindergarten to grade 8 school introduced a friendly competition between classes. The winning class earned an extra physical education period with Mme Bemister. The campaign was promoted through school announcements, posters and a message sent home to families.
Thanks to the generosity of our students, families, and staff, we collected a total of 776 pairs of brand-new socks. These socks were delivered to the radio station, where they were gratefully accepted on behalf of the Main Street Project. École South Pointe School is proud to have contributed to such a meaningful cause, and we thank everyone who participated in making this initiative a success.
