On February 5, 2026, Pembina Trails School Division was recognized as one of the Metro School Divisions, alongside the Manitoba Teachers’ Society, selected to receive the United Way Winnipeg 2025 Spirit of Collaboration Award at United Way Winnipeg’s Celebration 2025.

This award recognizes outstanding joint workplace campaigns where leadership is demonstrated through meaningful collaboration between union and management. It celebrates campaigns in which labour is actively engaged throughout all stages of planning, rollout, celebration, and recognition, working stronger together at every level.

The award was presented to the Pembina Trails Senior Administration Team on Monday, March 2, 2026 by United Way Partnership Manager, Jennifer Jardine.
