For over 10 years, Grade 4 students at École Tuxedo Park have been visiting residents with dementia at the neighbouring Extendicare Tuxedo Villa personal care home.

It’s an important partnership that benefits everyone involved. Both the residents and the students get to build intergenerational friendships, and students also get educated on dementia so they know what to expect and how to interact with the residents.
