At Chancellor School staff and students are committed to creating a safe, caring and inclusive environment. A continuum of support is available to allow all students to engage in learning. The core educational team centers around the student and includes the teacher and the parents/guardians.

The classroom teacher plays a critical role in determining the appropriate programming to support individual learning and when necessary, will access the in-school support team. This team includes the administration, resource teachers, the school counsellor, English as an Additional Language teachers and possibly an educational assistant.

If additional support is required, the team may access, with parent/guardian permission, the divisional clinical supports. The clinical team consists of social work, psychology, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language and behavior and learning support.

The level of support involved is based on student need. At times, the team will access an external specialist or community supports to offer guidance.
