On February 12th the grade four and five classes at River West Park School welcomed Anton Kosyuga to read to them for ‘I Love to Read Month’ and to talk about following their passions—as he did—and what led him to his current role working for the Winnipeg Jets and the Winnipeg Sea Bears through True North as their amazing “hype guy” at the games. He is hard to miss at hockey and basketball games as he is full of energy, moves through the crowds handing out swag and interacting with fans—young and old—and is always dressed in something flashy—like his light up suit he brought to show the students!

Anton is a former Pembina Trails student having graduated from Oak Park High School. He currently also works for a local radio station.

His presentation was completely engaging and inspiring and he connected with the kids beautifully—they loved having him visit!
