Pembina Trails Voices wins two prestigious national awards
The talented students involved in Pembina Trails Voices (PTV) choral program have done it again! This year, PTV's winning recordings from the Provincial Music Festival were sent in to compete nationally, and two PTV choirs placed 2nd in Canada!
The recordings sent in by PTV Chorale and PTV Cantemus went through three sets of judges over a period of 4-5 months. It is a rigorous judging process, and PTV's choirs shone through! While this is not a first for the program, it is always exciting to hear such great news.
"Cantemus and Chorale each competed against top choirs in their categories from across Canada in the Associated Music and Arts Festival," explains Valdine Anderson, the director of Cantemus and Artistic Director of PTV. "I'm really proud of the singers, conductors and pianists at PTV, and all the people behind the scenes who helped us be so successful doing what we love – singing!"
Congratulations to all of the students and staff involved!
