MADE IN MANITOBA MOTHER'S DAY POPUP STORE

The Venture Development class hosted Ms Lynn Tran from GoodLocal, a Winnipeg company which was created to make it easy for local buyers and sellers to reach each other, because they believe that a thriving community of growers, makers and merchants is the heartbeat of any great city.
 

Ms Tran talked with the students about how to create a small business, including both the pitfalls and the successes.  The discussion was timely for the students as they are preparing for their MADE IN MANITOBA MOTHER'S DAY POPUP STORE based on goodlocal's model, to be held in early May.
