Every year, the Oakenwald Parent Advisory Council) is made up of the following volunteer positions:

Chair

Vice-Chair

Treasurer

Secretary

Fundraising Coordinator

Hot Lunch Coordinator

Social Coordinator


Meetings

OPAC meets monthly in the school library from September through June. All Oakenwald families are welcome, and complimentary babysitting is provided. Check your email for upcoming meeting dates and agendas.

What we do at OPAC

  • Discuss what's going on at the school with the Principal and teacher representatives.
  • Plan hot lunches and fundraisers to enhance the educational environment of the school and to fund events.
  • Plan events, such as School Staff Appreciation and our annual Family Fun Night.
  • Arrange for occasional guests from outside of the school to discuss topics of interest, such as school trustees or our city councillor.
