Canada 150 Project 2017:

In 2017, all schools in Pembina Trails participated in various "We Are Canada" celebrations to mark Canada's 150, the 200th anniversary of the signing of the Selkirk Treaty, the 100th anniversary of Vimy Ridge, the 50th anniversary of the Canada Games, the 30th anniversary of Rick Hansen’s Man in Motion World Tour and the 25th anniversary of the Trans Canada Trail.

As an extension of our 2015 Human Rights Project, this project extended the same objectives and go deeper by promoting: (1) civic engagement and participation; (2) democracy and identification with Canada.

Human Rights Project 2015:

On May 20 and 21, 2015, 15,000 Pembina Trails students and staff transformed Investors Group Field into a massive mosaic highlighting the human rights of children. Each person created a single 8x10” panel depicting what human rights means to them.
