Student Services

The School Support Team consists of the school principal, the school student support teachers and educational assistants. Its purpose is to maximize learning opportunities for students with cognitive, social and emotional, and physical needs. The School Support Team also provides support for teachers of students with special needs. Frequent consultations and collaboration between teachers and the School Support Team allow for appropriate educational programming for these students.

As well, the school team benefits from expertise of the various members of the Divisional Support Services Team (DSST) . The DSST is comprised of a Psychologist, Speech and Language Pathologist, a Behaviour and Learning Support Teacher and a Social Worker. Services can also be requested from the divisional Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist.

Additional avenues of support include Leveled Literacy Intervention (LLI) and “Intervention en Littératie en 2e année” (IL2) programs. The LLI program targets students in grades 1 and 2 requiring additional supports in English literacy skills. The IL2 program targets grade 2 students requiring additional support for French literacy skills.
