The Buddy Bench at St. Avila

At École St. Avila we want all our children to feel included and safe on our school grounds.  The Buddy Bench is a popular item on many school playgrounds. The idea is simple. When a child feels lonely, they can sit on the Buddy Bench. This signals to other kids that they are feeling isolated. Ideally, another child will notice them, sit beside them, talk to them and invite them to play.
