FRC Students Shine in National and International Sports Arenas
Fort Richmond Collegiate is proud to celebrate the remarkable athletic achievements of two of our standout student-athletes: Bethany Eagles and Victor Cheung. Their dedication, perseverance, and excellence in sport exemplify the spirit of the Centurion community.
Bethany: Multi-Sport Standout and National-Level Volleyball Player
Bethany, a Grade 11 student, has been making waves both at school and on the national stage. She has been selected to represent Manitoba at the 2025 Canada Summer Games in St. John's, Newfoundland, as a member of the provincial volleyball team. This prestigious opportunity highlights her exceptional skill and commitment to the sport.
Bethany also earned the title of Athlete of the Year with the Junior Bison Volleyball Program, a testament to her hard work and leadership in club competition.
At FRC, Bethany’s athletic talent is on full display across multiple sports. She is a key contributor to the school’s volleyball, basketball, flag football, and handball teams. This past season, she was recognized as a league All-Star in handball, adding to an already impressive resume.
Victor: National Boxing Champion with International Aspirations
Victor, a Grade 12 student, claimed the title of U19 Flyweight National Champion on June 2nd. Competing at the national level, he secured his victory by defeating a top-ranked rival from Ontario in the semifinals, then triumphing over a skilled Quebec opponent in the finals.
His success has earned him the opportunity to compete internationally, as he prepares to represent Canada in an upcoming match in Germany. Victor’s focus, discipline, and drive continue to inspire those around him and mark him as a rising star in the world of competitive boxing.
Proud to Support Future Champions
We celebrate both Bethany and Victor for their incredible accomplishments and the way they represent FRC with excellence, humility, and heart. Whether competing on the court, in the ring, or in the classroom, these students are a source of pride for the entire school community. We look forward to seeing what they will achieve next!
