Special Language Credit Exams

SLCE – Louis Riel School Division

The Louis Riel School Division will be offering the Special Language Credit Examinations on Monday, March 18 and Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. at Dakota Collegiate.  

All students enrolled in high school programming throughout Manitoba as well as adults enrolled in Adult Education classes are eligible to apply to write the examinations for a fee of $65.00.

The Special Language Credit application form is online and can be accessed on the Dakota Collegiate website on the Special Language Credit page which is under Programs and Services.  All applicants must complete an application form online. Where applicable, the $65.00 examination fee must be submitted by cheque payable to the Louis Riel School Division. Do not send cash. Do not make cheques payable to Fort Richmond Collegiate or Pembina Trails School Division.

Once you have completed the application form, please bring the cheque (money orders and bank drafts are acceptable) to the FRC school office. Applications are not considered complete until the fee is received. 

The deadline for applications in on Friday, February 16, at 4:00 p.m.

SLCE – Winnipeg School Division

Any students who are interested in writing Special Language Credit Exams through the Winnipeg School Division can see the attached PDF. It includes valuable information regarding what languages are being offered, rules about the exams, and costs. The link to register is in the PDF, and you will need to select the Non-WSD Resident Permission Click link. The cost is $70 plus taxes and a processing fee – credit cards are required to complete the registration. Registration closes on February 29, 2024.
