Physical Education

Our physical education program is a comprehensive one that focuses on the whole athlete and has a long term development model.

Students will participate in a wide variety of activities that will focus on developing their muscular endurance, cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, flexibility, agility, speed, and much more. Everyday students will begin with a warm up associated with a fitness component, learn about a new aspect of physical fitness and then play a game that focuses on developing strategy, physical literacy, team work, sportsmanship and so much more.

As PE team, we want students to be active for as many minutes as possible while they're in Phys Ed class. As a result, and as a result of having many theoretical outcomes in the curriculum, students in grades 5-8 will be given 4 quizzes each term to complete on Edsby. All of the topics will be discussed in class and videos explaining each of the concepts will be posted here as well in case there is a need for review. If ever a student has difficulty accessing a quiz on Edsby, a PDF copy will be provided here or a printed copy will be provided at school.
