September Start Up 2023

Dear Lancer Community,

Well, we made it!  The 2022-2023 school year is coming to an end.  We wanted to send you one last communication to keep you posted over the summer.

2. Our calendar for 2023-2024 is starting to populate.  It can be viewed at: https://www.pembinatrails.ca/arthuraleach/page/940/calendar
3. School start and end time: as has been previously indicated (school cannot provide supervision outside of these times):
   • School doors open at: 9:10 am
   • Classes start at: 9:20 am
   • Lunch is at: 12:05 – 1:05 pm
   • Classes end at: 3:55
4. Picture Day: September 7, 2023
5. School Supplies: https://www.pembinatrails.ca/arthuraleach/page/945/school-supplies
6. Lunch Fees: to be collected the first week of school. Look for Permission Click.  Payment required upon sign-up: $40.00. Please discuss concerns with administration.
7. Student Fees: to be collected the first week of school.  Look for Permission Click.  Payment this year is $80.00 and includes:
   • Locker Rental
   • School Supplies (beyond required general list)
   • Classroom Field Trips and Special Events
   • School-Wide Activities and Opportunities
   • House Colour Shirt (one given to each student during their time at AAL)

9. “Be Good People”: we will be introducing a Social Emotional Learning opportunity each Wednesday for all students.  They will work with a class team (pairing of 2 classes in different grades) each week.  For more information visit: https://sites.google.com/scred.k12.mn.us/scredsel/educators/be-good-people-curriculum
10. Office Opens: August 29, 2023 at 8:00am.  Office Hours: 8:00am-4:00pm Tu-Th in the first week.  After the September long weekend, the office will be open 8:15am-4:15pm daily M-F.
11. For new registrations that have not seen the school yet:  We will be hosting tours on Friday, August 25. Please email snagler@pembinatrails.ca to set up a tour time on this day.
