Welcome to Shawna Nagler!

Starting in September, we will have a new member on the Admin Team, Vice Principal Shawna Nagler.  We are so excited to have her come to work, again, at Arthur A. Leach.

Shawna is thrilled to re-join the Arthur A. Leach community after completing a two-year interchange with Manitoba Education and Early Childhood Learning. Shawna has over 25 years of experience supporting student learning in youth corrections, Winnipeg’s inner city, and as a member of Pembina Trails School Division’s Indigenous Student Success Teacher team where she worked closely with AAL staff and students.

Shawna has a Bachelor of Education, a Post Baccalaureate Diploma in Inclusive education, and a Masters of Education. Her passions are student success, deep learning, and community collaboration within a safe and caring school. 

Shawna’s two adult children currently live and study in Halifax, Nova Scotia, where she loves to visit and walk the beautiful beaches. Shawna enjoys volunteering and giving back to community.
