COMING SOON: Minecraft EDU Challenge: Level Up Winnipeg!

Microsoft has teamed up with schools across the city for a special Minecraft EDU project where students are challenged to design a more sustainable downtown Winnipeg. In preparation for this challenge (which comes out in April 2023), grade 5 and 9 students have teamed up in the Library Learning Commons to share their Minecraft building skills and city planning ideas. 

Winnipeg City Council is aware of the challenge and is open to having students share their work at the end of this project. In Calgary, this Minecraft EDU challenge led to real-life changes in the city, including the construction of a new and inclusive playground. 

All AAL students are encouraged to brainstorm ways to make Winnipeg more sustainable and build a better Winnipeg through the Minecraft EDU: Level Up Winnipeg! Challenge. Good luck!!
