Ecole Van Walleghem School Pride Club

The Pride Club from école Van Walleghem broke new ground in dedicating an all-inclusive, gender-neutral washroom for all staff and students.  They hope the new addition helps people in the learning community feel safe and included.  The plaque art was designed by students to represent the rainbow of the pride flag.  In addition, the plaque has an accessibility symbol and braille to represent a whole spectrum of diversity. 

We are sharing this message in hopes that students everywhere will be inspired to support inclusive practices.  Students need to be able to express their identity, feel safe and be supported by their peers, their school, and their community.
