At River West Park School students in grades 6, 7 and 8 can develop their creative expression as artists and artistically literate students in our visual arts program. As a full year program, the visual arts students receive art instruction by our Art Specialist. The art program allows for the students to explore their own creative ideas, develop skills and techniques through creative art making activities, as well as broaden their cultural understanding through art appreciation. They receive both hands-on activities as well as reflective and critical thinking opportunities.

In late May to early June our visual art students display some of their artwork in our annual Pembina Trails art show, Sight Unseen, held at Polo Park. Also watch our website for samples of our amazing student art. One project that has become an annual tradition is the River West Park Stop Motion Film Festival (pictured above).
