Courses

As a kindergarten to grade 8 school, River West Park is divided into Early Years (K-5) and Middle Years (6-8) sections. 

All K to 5 students receive instruction in the basic core subjects in addition to French, Physical Education, Art and Music. In grade 6, all students receive a Band experience and in Grade 7 and 8 students are given the opportunity to choose either Band or Art as an elective subject.

Grade 7 and 8 students also attend Practical Arts classes one afternoon per school cycle at Westdale School. During the fall and spring, students walk to Westdale and from December 1 until Spring Break, the school division buses students to and from Westdale.
