Principal Jacqui Kroeker receives Manitoba Band Association Outstanding Administrator Award

Congratulations to PTC’s Principal Jacqui Kroeker on being awarded the Manitoba Band Association’s Outstanding Administrator Award for 2026! The award honours a current school administrator who has made an outstanding contribution to music education in Manitoba.

PTC Band Specialists Cynthia Weevers and Rob Chrol had the following to say about Jacqui’s leadership and it’s impact on the band program:

"There are so many quantifiable ways in which we have felt supported, but the greatest impact has been in the ways that can’t be measured, in the day to day. The day to day is fueled by Jacqui’s values, her sense of global purpose, and the kind person that she is inside. No one is judged, the bar is set high, everyone is deserving."

"Regardless of the challenge - be it bookshelves, timetables, or massive CancerCare fundraising events – Jacqui always finds (but really, she creates) the personal bandwidth to support, encourage, advocate, and celebrate because she understands the global value of music education to the big picture effort. Our students become more whole humans with a command of global competencies, the capacity for two-eyed seeing, and an opportunity to experience Mamahtawisiwin – wonder, curiosity, and courage."
