Pembina Trails Collegiate students are eligible to attend the Manitoba Institute of Trades and Technology (MITT) and earn credits toward high school graduation.

For more than 30 years, MITT has offered students in Grades 11 and 12, studying in Pembina Trails School Division the opportunity to study in one of our post-secondary technical training programs. Earn high school credits, a post-secondary certificate, and learn valuable skills for life!

PTC students have the opportunity to take the following programs at MITT:

It would be highly beneficial for grade 10 students thinking about entering into one of the programs at MITT to take the CXCX course, to help them explore all Trades and Technology programming at MITT and Red River Polytech.

What are the benefits of MITT programming in Technical Vocational?

  • Pembina Trails School Division pays for tuition and transportation to and from local high schools
  • Earn high school credits and a MITT certificate
  • Explore new careers
  • Fast-track your employment
  • Learn valuable life skills

How does it work?

You’ll spend part of your day completing academic subjects at PTC and the rest of the day in a technical training program at MITT. Students may also earn Level 1 Apprenticeship (70% average required).

How can I register?

Students are encouraged to contact their counsellors for information regarding the application and admission process to these programs. Seats and transportation are limited.
