For grade 10 students and their parents/guardians - MB Institute of Trades and Technology holding open house on Thu Feb 23 from 4:30 to 7:30

Grade 10 high school students in Pembina Trails have a unique opportunity to plan for the future as they look ahead to grade 11 and 12 and beyond.

If they think they might be interested in a trade, the Manitoba Institute of Trades and Technology (MITT) offers some fantastic career possibilities.

Pembina Trails, in partnership with MITT, are hosting “Future Explorations” at MITT on Thursday, February 23 during the day.

This gives interested grade 10 students a chance to tour the MITT Henlow campus and get a chance to learn about the 5 partnership programs they have access to in grade 11 & 12:

  • Automotive Technology
  • Culinary Arts
  • Electrical Trades Technology
  • Hairstyling
  • Welding Technology

If they like what they see and hear when visiting MITT, they can apply at their home school to attend MITT for a half day in both their grade 11 & 12 years in their program of choice. They will earn their elective credits through MITT and their compulsory courses during the other half day at their community school.

If you, the parent or guardian or your child was not able to attend “Future Explorations” during the day, MITT is having a live, in-person open house in the evening where parents and students can learn more about the exciting programs that are available in grade 11 and 12.

The open house runs from 4:30 to 7:30 on Thursday, February 23rd. MITT is located at 130 Henlow Bay.
