Beading at ÉCS

Students learned the skill of beading with the support of Indigenous Student Support Teachers, Brenda Muswagon and Sylvia Wastesicoot, as well as Kookam Daisy, who shared her engaging stories and expertise on making bannock. Some of the older students with beading experience helped out grade 5 students who were new to beading. Below are a few of the bead works in progress. Sylvia introduced beading to grade 5 students and worked on a more detailed project with a small group of grade 8 students. Thank you Ms. Muswagon, Ms. Wastesicoot, and Ms. Daisy for sharing your gifts. Great work students!
