An important message from our Board of Trustees
To our Pembina Trails Community,
World events of conflict and hate have an impact on Canada and our Pembina Trails community. In our schools, we will continue to build on our work to prepare students to assume their role as citizens and active participants in a safe, caring, respectful, inclusive, and democratic society.
Respect for each other is the foundation of this work.
The Board firmly believes in our Statement of Commitment to our community: through education and engagement with students, families, and colleagues, we will work to promote anti-racism and social justice in our school communities. We will continue to support safe and inclusive practices that build positive relationships, affirm positive community relations, and support all members in our community. The Board is also continuing to develop and implement its Anti-Racism policy, which will come out to the community for feedback in the new year.
Should you have any questions, we encourage you to reach out to school administration, members of our senior administration team, or your locally elected school Trustees. We are confident that together we can ensure safe and caring learning opportunities for all students in the Pembina Trails community.
