UNDERGRADUATE AWARDS 2020-2021

 Shaftesbury High School Undergraduate Awards

Shaftesbury High School celebrated the academic achievements of last year’s grade 9, 10, and 11 students by presenting our annual Undergraduates Awards.  These Awards are presented to students who meet the following criteria: 

Honour roll: Average between 80% and 89%, all marks included in the calculation must be over 70%.

Honour roll with Distinction: Average of 90% or greater, all marks included in the calculation must be over 70%.

Marks used in the calculation:

 Grade 9

• English Language Arts
• Mathematics
• Social Sciences
• Science
• Physical Education
• Plus three courses

 Grade 10

• English Language Arts
• Mathematics
• Science
• Social Sciences
• Physical Education
• Plus three classes

 Grade 11

• English Language Arts
• Mathematics
• Canadian History
• Plus three courses

Mrs. Birch and Ms. Dunford visited period B classrooms on Monday and Tuesday to present the Undergraduate Awards and acknowledge the unique circumstances and challenges that students faced throughout the last school year. We are so proud of all our students as they demonstrated perseverance and resilience while they worked to accomplish their goals. If your child had a Period B spare and would like to pick up their award, please ask them to visit the office.   

We look forward to celebrating next year’s Undergraduates together and in-person if Public Health guidelines allow.
