Kelsey Wog, a two-time Olympian who graduated from ICVMC in 2015 and is now 25, will compete in the 200-metre breaststroke at the Paris Olympics today. If Wog qualifies for the final, it will happen on August 1 at 2:04 pm.

Wog has traveled and competed around the world in her distinguished 10-year swimming career. Most recently she won a silver medal at the 2023 Pan Am Games in Santiago.

She recently told the Winnipeg Free Press that the Paris games is the perfect time to end her swimming career and touch the wall one last time.

Honestly, it feels very right,” Wog said. “I feel like I’ve done everything I possibly could have in my sport career, and I don’t think continuing and doing another year or another quad would do myself any justice.”

Congratulations Kelsey! You have made ICVMC, Winnipeg, Manitoba and Canada proud of your accomplishments in the pool.
