Award Amount: 3 awards of $250, $500, and $1000.

Who can apply?
• Any current, full-time, part-time student of an accredited or non-accredited institute, truck driving school or other logistics program, must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 to become eligible. 
• There is no requirement of minimum age.
What will I have to do?

Darryl Dacombe Memorial & Ron Dixson Memorial Technical Scholarship

Award Amount: $1,000 for Darryl Dacombe Memorial Scholarship & $500 for Ron Dixson Memorial Technical Scholarship
Who can apply?
• Manitoba residents aged 18 – 25
• Applicants must have diagnosed epilepsy or seizure disorder
• Must be a member in good standing of the Epilepsy and Seizure Association of Manitoba at the time of scholarship application. 
• Award holders must be prepared to enter or be currently enrolled in a post-secondary training institution in the academic year of application.
• Evaluations will be based on a combination of the applicant's essay, grades, extracurricular activities, and financial need.

What will I have to do?
Submit the following:

• Completed application form (available online)
• An essay (1000 – 1500 words) on how epilepsy has affected your life
• An official transcript
• Two letters of reference

Business Council of Manitoba: Aboriginal Education Awards Program

Award Amount:
• Each award is up to a maximum of $3,000 for university and $2,000 for college students.
• All applicants are eligible to reapply each year of their studies for a maximum of three years.
• Recipients of the awards may be considered for summer and/or part-time employment with one of the Business Council’s member companies.
Who can apply?
• Students of Aboriginal ancestry who are permanent residents of Manitoba and have resided in Manitoba for the last 12 months.
• Must be enrolled or plan to enroll in a Manitoba public post – secondary institution in the upcoming academic year, in any discipline (trades, business, general studies, science, etc.), and maintain full – time student status (at least a 60% course load)
• Must be in need of financial assistance. 
What will I have to do?
Submit the following to the financial services office of the institution you plan to attend:
• Completed application form (available online).
• A brief essay in your own handwriting (cannot be typed!) – See website for topic.
• A copy of your most recent transcript.

Retail Council of Canada Retail as a Career Scholarship

Award Amounts: 1 award of $5,000  - 1 award of $3,000 - 18 awards of $1,000
Who can apply?
• Currently working part-time or full-time within the retail industry
• Enrolled in or applying to a full or part-time retail, business, or marketing related program at a Canadian university or college next fall
What will I have to do?
Submit the following:
• Completed application and release form
• Official transcript from the last two semesters of study
• A reference letter (maximum 200 words) from a current employer that includes the following:
• Applicant's demonstrated and continued commitment to the retail industry
• Ways in which the applicant has distinguished him/herself from other employees
• Reasons indicating why the applicant is deserving of this scholarship
• Current employer/supervisor contact information

• Proof of enrollment in a Canadian post-secondary institution, such as:
Letter of acceptance or conditional letter of acceptance

University Of Manitoba Entrance Scholarships

Award Amount: $1,000-$3,000

Who can apply? 
• Entrance scholarships are awarded to students graduating from a Canadian high school with outstanding academic averages.
• A minimum average of 85% over the best five courses from a pre-approved list.
What will I have to do? 
• Submit an undergraduate application for admission by March 1st.
• These scholarships are offered without the necessity of a separate scholarship application.
