Business Communications Students Receive United Way Grant

Students in the Business Communications class successfully pitched a community support initiative to United Way and were awarded a $500 grant to enhance a school food collection campaign. The funding will be used to purchase additional food items to support FRC families in need.

To secure the grant, students completed grant application outlining their project goals, impact, and plan. They also delivered a presentation to a panel of United Way representatives, alongside student teams from schools across Winnipeg, to compete for funding. Their hard work, professionalism, and commitment to helping others resulted in a successful grant award.
