The FRC Street Shop
The FRC Street Shop began collecting used clothing, backpacks, shoes and water bottles at the start of the school year. Staff, students and the community donated enough items to fill more than two cargo vans!
Group members set up shop on Friday evening at 181 Higgins Avenue and opened the doors the following morning, May 12th. Anyone in the community who found themselves in need were welcome to come in and take what they could use, free of charge! Attendees were greeted at the door with a care package filled with personal hygiene products and, armed with a garbage bag, were helped by students to find the items they were looking for.
The members of the Street Shop share a deep-rooted passion for helping others and we thank the many individuals who have sacrificed many hours to guarantee our project's success and support the betterment of our community. Thank you to all our volunteers, group members, FRC staff, organizers and donors.
