Weekly Message June 18th
Bairdmore School Weekly Message Bairdmore Babies Ask your child about our Bairdmore Babies! Three chicks hatched today in our library’s egg incubator as many classes watched on the live stream broadcast. This grade two project has become a school wide adventure of learning about growth, change, life cycles, and empathy as we incubated our chicken eggs and waited for them to hatch!
Lost and Found Please stop by and help our lost items find their way home. These lost items are on display on tables in the front entrance. Please help our lost items get found! Playground Safety School dismisses at 3:00PM. We do not offer supervision for students after school. Students cannot wait unattended on the playground after school. All students on the playground after 3:00PM must be accompanied by a supervising adult. Bairdmore Advisory Council Feedback Survey Bairdmore Advisory Council continues to seek feedback as they plan for Fun Lunches and Fundraising in the 2025-2026 school year. Please take a minute to share your thoughts on this survey: https://forms.gle/zTMWjL685fwESSYF7 . Your input will help guide planning. Bairdmore School Community Gardens Please help us care for and water our garden boxes on the Bairdmore Blvd side of the school and on the play structure side of the school in the evenings or on the weekends as well as over the summer. These are community gardens – families are welcome to harvest any produce or herbs that are ready! MARK YOUR CALENDARS AND SAVE THE DATE: Tuesday September 2 3:00-4:00PM We are trying something new next year – instead of a Meet the Teacher night in September, we are hosting a WELCOME TO SCHOOL event on TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 2 between 3:00PM and 4:00PM. This WELCOME TO SCHOOL event offers families the opportunity to see the school and classroom with their children before school begins the next day. You will all have the chance to meet homeroom and specialist teachers, bring in school supplies and help our students feel connected and settled before classes begin the next day. Please plan to drop in between 3:00PM and 4:00PM on September 2. Bring your child’s school supplies and be ready for a scavenger hunt and special treat! Saying Goodbye As we close out the 2025-2026 school year, we say goodbye to many staff members who are moving on to new adventures. We wish Mrs. Bendell all the best as she plans for travels and adventures in her retirement. Mrs. Dennis, who has been our part time secretary is excited to move on to Bison Run School in a 0.75 secretary role. We thank Ryan Scott for coming out of retirement to help us out in student services and wish him many new adventures as he goes back into retirement once again! Spring staffing is a time of year where many teachers move on to new challenges and adventures. Although we are sad to say goodbye, we know the new schools are all excited to welcome our Bairdmore staff members. We are excited for Emma Heinrichs who is staying at Bison Run School in a full-time position. Christian Scerbo is excited to begin new adventures at Whyte Ridge School and Pembina Trails Collegiate is happy to welcome Debora Stasolla as a new staff member. Along with Rebecca Szerenyi as she moves into a classroom teaching position at Ecole Crane, we wish Courtney Orr and Meena Rofaeil well as they join the staff at Dalhousie School. Jaskirat Sohi is excited to begin the year as an early years classroom teacher in another school division. As these staff members move on to new schools, we know they will be deeply missed here at Bairdmore School by students, staff and our whole community. We are so thankful for their work over the year and in past years to support our students in Being Their Best! |
