Bairdmore Advisory Council Feedback Survey

As we work to secure funding for a new Play Structure, the Bairdmore Advisory Council is looking for feedback on this year’s fundraising campaign. Please take a minute to share your thoughts on this survey: https://forms.gle/zTMWjL685fwESSYF7 . Your input will help the fundraising team as they begin to plan for next year.

Bairdmore School Community Gardens

Families may notice that our Gardening Club has been busy in our school’s green spaces. As recipients of a Whole Kids Garden Grant, we have used this grant money to build new planters on the Bairdmore Blvd. side of the school. Cookem Daisey has worked with our students and staff to plant Indigenous foods in these boxes, called Cookem’s Garden.  Garden club students have planted many seeds in our planter boxes at the playground area of the school and worked hard to clean up our front flower beds. Our gardeners truly have demonstrated green thumbs. We can't wait to see our gardens grow.

Families are encouraged to help us water our garden boxes and planters if you are around the playground and school in the evening or on the weekend, as well as over the summer.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS AND SAVE THE DATE:  Tuesday September 2 3:00-4:00PM

We are trying something new next year – instead of a Meet the Teacher night in September, we are hosting a WELCOME TO SCHOOL event on TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 2 between 3:00PM and 4:00PM. This WELCOME TO SCHOOL event offers families the opportunity to see the school and classroom with their children before school begins the next day. Students and thier families will have the chance to meet homeroom and specialist teachers, bring in school supplies, find their way around the school and building as we help everyone feel onnected and settled before classes begin the next day.

Please plan to drop in between 3:00PM and 4:00PM on September 2. Bring your child’s school supplies and be ready for a scavenger hunt and special treat!
