Spring is an exciting time for Pembina Trail's students in choir, concert band and jazz band! Below we are recognizing amazing achievements across Pembina Trails:


École Crane:

Orff Club Performance

Achievement/Award: They won GOLD!

Trophy Name: Mr. and Mrs. Will Rook Trophy

Awarded to the most outstanding performance by a school choir, grades 5-8 at the Winnipeg Music Festival.  Trophy.jpg

Teacher: Nathanael Plett 

Grades: Grade 5-6 choir

Achievement/Award: Anne Tate Memorial Trophy

Summary: Most outstanding performance by a school chorus grades 4-6.

School: École Dieppe

Dieppe Duo - Mackenzie Laffin and Hazel Pearson

Achievement: Gold Winners 

Award: Catherine Jones Scholarship

Summary: Mackenzie Laffin and Hazel Pearson did a recorder duet and won gold in the Winnipeg Music Festival. Mackenzie Laffin and Hazel Pearson were also invited to perform at the Gala at the Winnipeg Music Festival and won the Catherine Jones woodwind/brass scholarship.



Family of Festivals 2025

The Manitoba Band Association festivals are a tradition that dates back to 1976. Over the past 40+ years, this Family of Festivals has grown to include the Concert Band Festival, Jazz Band Festival, Level One Festival in Winnipeg and Brandon, and the Community Band Festival.

The following Pembina Trails groups received an outstanding amount of trophies for superior performance!:
