Whyte Ridge collects socks for people in need during Socktober

Whyte Ridge and Socktober

Congratulations to the Grade 4 Student Action Club at Whyte Ridge who collected socks for Socktober. The socks they collected were donated to Main Street Project. 

The students were excited to do something to help those in need in our city. Led by Grade 4 teachers Mr. Stacey, Mrs. Meyler and Mrs. Hawryluk, the students wrote and made announcements, spoke to classrooms about Socktober, made posters and bulletin boards, and prepared boxes to collect the socks. 

Special thanks to the folks at Virgin Radio and Quintex, who matched the donations from Whyte Ridge, which means even more socks will go to people who need them at the Main Street Project. 

Big-time thanks to everyone who participated.
