The Shaftesbury Physical Education staff would like to invite all athletes, parents, and coaches to the 2022/2023 athletic awards. The athletic awards are in honour of those athletes who have shown dedication and commitment to the teams of Shaftesbury High School.
The awards ceremony will be held on Wednesday, June 7th at 10:00am to 11:00am in the gymnasium at Shaftesbury High School. All athletes and parents are welcome to attend the awards ceremony. Following the ceremony, athletes and coaches are invited to stay for a complimentary pizza lunch in the gymnasium from 11:00am-12:00pm.
Athletes will be recognized in the following categories:
Individual Team Awards
Two awards will be given for every Shaftesbury team. The two awards are the Coach’s Award and the Most Valuable Player Award. These awards will be chosen by the coach of each team.
Scholar Athlete Awards
Student athletes who have an overall average of 80% or higher and who have participated in 1 minor sport and 1 major sport, or 4 minor sports will receive the Scholar Athlete Award.
Major Awards: All major awards are chosen by a panel of coaches
