Student Activities

At Pacific Junction school, we strive to develop well-rounded students. We want all students to feel personally engaged in their learning and feel a sense of belonging. We offer many clubs and student activities to engage all students in our school community.

Leadership 

There are leadership opportunities for students of all ages. In the classroom, there are classroom leaders, learning buddies and classroom job opportunities.  We offer many extracurricular leadership opportunities such as:

  • Community Connectors
  • Patrols
  • Green Team
  • Student Announcers
  • Intramural Referees
  • Milk Monitors


 Learning Commons

Our Learning Commons provides students access to computers, robotics, a green screen, art supplies, maker supplies (such as Lego, K'nex, and other low tech supplies) and an excellent collection of books. We offer many extracurricular opportunities in our Learning Commons for students who are interested in S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) and reading such as:

  • Coding club
  • Grade 1 and 2 Design Squad
  • Card-making club
  • Maker challenges
  • Games club (chess, board games and cards)



Athletics

We offer many clubs and teams for our students to keep them active. Our grade 4 and 5 students have the opportunity to participate in extracurricular activities such as:

  • Intramurals
  • Cross-country running
  • Volleyball
  • Basketball
  • Track and Field
  • Curling
  • Badminton
  • Snow shoeing


Our grade 1 to 3 students have the opportunity to participate in extracurricular activities such as:

  • Intramurals
  • Tennis club

Music and Dramatic Arts

Students have the opportunity for speaking roles in our holiday concert. These students rehearse outside of class hours. Students who perform with the WSO choir rehearse over the lunch hour as well.
