ELA/Geography field trip to Bruce D. Campbell Farm and Food Discovery Center

On Thursday, March 23^rd the grade 10 ELA/Geography integrated class visited the Bruce D. Campbell Farm and Food Discovery Center.

The centre has been designed to promote increased awareness of how and where food is produced, the stewardship that farmers show for their land and animals, the economic importance of agriculture in Manitoba, the value of food processing, and the role consumers play in the health and safety of food.

Students explored the discovery center, baked delicious pumpkin hemp heart chocolate chip muffins, and toured a functioning dairy barn. The dairy barn along with its interesting aroma was a highlight of the day!
